  Bob Bergthold verbally and contractually agreed to assist me with the burial of my Mother.
  For $4,200.00 he had agreed collect my Mother from Oakland, CA, place her in a casket and deliver her to Mt. View Semetery in Fresno. This figure did not include anything else. Not even flowers.
  Bob would not allow me to purchase a casket elsewhere. He analogized my request as, "...being like bringing [my] own steak to a restaurant and asking them to cook it for [me.]"
  By law, it is the bereaved's choice to purchase a casket outside of the funeral home if one wishes to. A beautiful, high-end casket that's comparable to what the funeral home charges thousands for can be purchased on Amazon, but it seems this cuts in on profit, and at the end of the day, that's all it's about with this man.
  The people who end up in an industry where kindness, patience, a sympathic nature, and ethics are so important...
  I would not recommend Farewell Funeral Home.

  The staff is great, knowledgeable, experienced, and understanding. Best customer service by far. They know what they're doing and will guide you when you need it the most. Look around and you'll notice the price isn't bad either.
